I am an expert daydreamer,
Wondrous scenarios and prophetic moments fill my head.
An imagination so intense and detailed,
From romantic encounters to epic time travels.
My mind explored everything.
This is not something new for me,
Since my teenage years my occupying thoughts have been surreal.
But recently my thoughts are fixated,
A constant daydream on repeat,
A rekindled romance years from now,
An illness or horrific accident aligning us once more.
No matter what I do all daydreams lead to you,
Making everything harder to forget,
Harder to forget you.
After every daydream the intense need to contact you resurfaces,
I compose my thoughts but rejection would crush me.
You’re happy with your new love,
So I have to confront the truth,
You will forever just be a daydream.
